How would you describe yourself?: I am a 27 year old man from California. I am intelligent, confident, and I like to laugh and have fun. I like to joke and enjoy myself, and I rarely ever have stress about anything. I am always willing to try something new, and I never hesitate to go somewhere or meet someone new.
How would you describe your ideal partner?: Confident. I like it when a woman believes in herself, and is willing to fight for what she believes in. I really appreciate a strong sense of humor. Life is fun, and I like to have fun, so you have to be able to laugh and enjoy the ride. I also find an intelligent woman to be very attractive. If you knew the world was going to end in 30 days, what would you do?: I would travel to Russia and ride the Trans-Siberia railroad from Moscow to Beijing, China. This has been a dream of mine since I first heard about this train as a child, and I have always told myself that I would do it.
If you had 10 million dollars to spare, what would you do with it?: I would travel all over the world and try as much different food as I could!!
How often, and from whom do you ask advice?: I ask advice from my father every week. He is my best friend, my role model, and I trust him completely. I also ask advice from my close friends regularly. I make my own decisions, and I do not believe in being pressured into doing something that I do not want to do, but I believe that my friends are smart, talented people and I value their opinions.
What quality do you value most in the people of your gender?: Honesty. I will always tell you what I think, and I won't lie to you. Don't lie to me.
What quality do you value most in the opposite sex?: Honesty. If I can't trust you how can I possibly let you get to know what is in my heart and in my soul? I don't like to lie, there is just no point in pretending, so please don't do it to me.
What is the best advice that you give to your children?: Work hard every day. Even if you don't know what you want to do for college, or your job, or your life, if you work hard every day you will open up doors that will allow you to discover what it is that truly makes you happy, and to accomplish all of your dreams. And always believe in yourself - if you don't believe in yourself why should anyone else?
What has produced the biggest impression (shock) on you?: Attending my University, West Point. University gave me the confidence to believe that I can accomplish anything if I work hard and believe in myself. It also taught me to be willing to take a chance and follow my dreams, because you never know what will happen if you just try....
The last books that you read?: For pleasure - "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. What a great book.
For work - "Good to Great" by Jim Collins. A good book to help you improve as a boss
What are your goals now?: To travel to every country in Europe and experience as much of the European culture as I can while I live here. To meet someone truly special who I can travel and enjoy these experiences with. I have been fortunate to have had some incredible experiences in my life, but they have always been by myself. I am at a point in my life where I want to have someone there with me to enjoy in the fun!!!
Whom do you admire?: My parents. They have been married for 29 years, worked hard to raise two kids who both went to and finished university, and were the best parents a child could have. They were there for everything my sister and I ever did, they supported us every step of the way, and were not only our parents growing up but are our friends now. If I can be half the parent to my children as my parents have been my children will have a terrific childhood.
Do you have a lot of friends?: Not a lot of friends. I prefer to have a few very close friends that I know very well and they know me. I see no point in being the most popular person who knows everyone but is not close with anybody.
What qualities do you dislike most in the people of the opposite sex?: Dishonesty. I really do mean it when I say I will not lie to you, so don't lie to me. I understand that I am not that special person for every woman, and that is fine. If you are interested in me tell me, if you are not, tell me that too. But don't lie to me. I also dislike people who are rude. There is no need to be rude or inconsiderate. Life is much more fun when you smile and are friendly!!
What would you like to change in yourself?: I wish I was taller!!! Haha, that would be nice, but what I would like to change about myself is that I sometimes speak before I stop and think about what I am saying. I am very honest, and while honesty is good sometimes you can't tell people what you really think or feel because it will hurt them. I always believe in telling the truth and letting people know what I believe, but sometimes when I am talking to people or answering a question I will say what I feel before I stop and think about if it will hurt the other person's feelings. I do think it is better if they know what I think, but I never like to hurt someone, that always makes me feel bad.
What are your weaknesses?: I like to laugh and have fun....but sometimes I joke around too much when I should be serious. I do not have patience. When I want something I want it now, when I want to do something I want to do it now. I do not like waiting for anyone or anything. I can never remember peoples names!! I have no idea why, but I am not good at it - - I am sorry!!
What are your strengths ?: I am honest - sometimes too honest - but I am always honest. I have a good sense of humor and I can probably make you laugh. I like to talk...both about me and about you and about everything!!! I am very laid back and I do not have much stress. There are a lot of bad things in life, but do you really want to spend your life unhappy and with stress??? I don't, so I try to smile and have fun.
How do friends view you?: As a fun, easy going person who does what he says and can be relied upon. I am not the life of the party, I much prefer to be with a small group of close friends, or to hang out at the party and watch all of the other people. I do not need the attention. But when I say I will do something I do it. If I say I will call I will, if I say I will be somewhere I will, you can count on me.
What are your favourite games?: BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!! I love this sport, I would watch it or play it every day if I could. GO DODGERS!!!!! (the Los Angeles Dodgers are my favorite baseball team). I also love American football and basketball.
What kinds of music do you like?: Rock and Roll, Country, R&B. My favorites are Third Eye Blind, Counting Crows, U2, Nickelback, Justin Timberlake, Tim McGraw, and anything with a good beat.
What is your favourite food?: Lasagne. I LOVE lasagne!!!! I also love cheeseburgers and Mexican food (fajitas, enchiladas, nachos, mmmmmm). I am from California, we grew up on Mexican food, cheeseburgers, and BBQ. I also love ice cream, and I do have a sweet tooth. I must admit, I love to eat!!!
What are your favourite films?: Comedy movies and action movies. I like Old School, Dumb and Dumber, Garden State, For Love of the Game, The Bourne movies with Matt Damon, Good Will Hunting, Casino, The Usual Suspects
What is your favourite activity or hobby?: Traveling around the world. I have been to 36 different countries, lived in 3 different countries, and travelled all over the United States. I have been from Japan and Korea to all over Europe. The world is an incredible place, with so many wonderful things to see and experience. I want to experience as much as I can, and I would like to find someone to share these experiences with me!!
Tell us about your dream partner.: Someone smart, confident, funny, and who challenges me. I can be crazy and stubborn and a pain in the butt sometimes (maybe I shouldn't say this???). I like a woman who will tell me to shut up when I am being crazy, and who will travel with me to the crazy places that I want to go (Africa, Australia, pretty much everywhere!!) and will come up with some of her own places that she wants to go. Looks are important, that is just life, but if you are beautiful and don't know how to have fun and aren't willing to take a chance and try something new than looks are not enough. I find an intelligent mind to be very attractive, and I want to find a woman who knows she can live a great life without me....but doesn't want to live without me.
Where do you want to live?: The beach in Southern California!!! I have been all over the world - there is simply no place as perfect as the beach in Southern California. I would like to live in Malibu or Manhattan Beach, right on the water. I love the sunshine, the relaxed atmosphere, and that the people are so fun and into sports. Plus I love the ocean. I have been told by many people that I really am the "California Boy" that you see in the movies, and it probably is true. I just like to relax and enjoy life at the beach!!!!
